Description
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, Size 1, 30", Green, with CT-1 needle is a nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate. It is coated with a polybutilate compound that enhances handling, smooth tissue passage, and knot security. The green coloration provides excellent visibility during surgical procedures, aiding precise placement.
The CT-1 needle is a 1/2 circle taper point, engineered to penetrate and pass through delicate or soft tissues without cutting. It is suitable for use in subcutaneous, gastrointestinal, and vascular tissue where clean entry without trauma is essential. The needle shape provides a controlled arc for accurate placement in deep or confined areas.
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ sutures are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurosurgical procedures. As a nonabsorbable material, it offers permanent support unless removed and is ideal for applications where long-term tensile strength is required.
